Brief Answer:
It is safe to take valtrex and sulfatrim!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this persistence of symptoms. This makes me question whether this is a bacteria infection that requires antibiotics. Failure of these drugs for up to 7days really calls for extra measure to understand what the exact cause of your illness is and address fully.

Valtrex(valacyclovir) can be taken safely with sulfatrim. My question is why you want to take this drug because your symptoms are not suggestive of herpes infection. I will recommend you add Tylenol for pain relief and continue the antibiotics as prescribed. Your symptoms are more likely explained by a viral infection of the upper respiratory airways but not herpes. Am afraid valtrex is not the right drug here.

In all, I recommend Tylenol alongside sulfatrim. I will not very much recommend valtrex at this time. However, it is safe to take valtrex and sulfatrim if you choose to.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
