Question : is it safe to take viagra for long periods of time, I've been taking 50 mg daily for about a year
Brief Answer:
You should take only if indicated.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
Viagra contains Sildenafil. It is usually considered safe for long term use if cardiac status is normal.
We do give it for long term use in patients with Pulmonary artery hypertension.
For Erectile Dysfunction we advise to take it only when required. Daily usage will lead to development of tolerance to this dose.
I hope it helps.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
