Brief Answer:
Metformin will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Metformin is a commonly used medicine for the treatment of hormonal imbalance associated with PCOS. It will help you in loosing weight also. It can be taken in a dosage of 500mg twice a day.
But most important is exercising to lose weight and becoming fit. If exercise is not done then the hormonal imbalance will still be there. Proper diet consisting of low carbohydrates, low fat diet with plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables is needed. Drink plenty of water. Do daily brisk walking for 40 minutes. Avoid junk food, pastries, colas.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The side effects of metformin include muscle pain or weakness; numb or cold feeling in your arms and legs; feeling dizzy, light-headed, tired, or very weak; stomach pain, nausea with vomiting; etc.
You need to start the treatment and the dosage needs to be adjusted according to the response. The treatment is usually continued till you conceive.
Hope my answer is helpful.
