What I thought was a series of bug bites in a row a week ago. Extremely itchy sometimes burning sensatio. Painful as if there were a large bruise on my side. n
Brief Answer:
Looks to be insect bites.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your history and clear pictures.
The photos are suggestive of insect bite as you have suspected as these are not the classical lesions of Shingles and are localized to one small area.
Itching again is indicative of the same.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
To take an antihistamine like Cetirizine.
Oral steroids if the itching is persistent; needs a prescription.
Avoid application of soap and such chemical till healing of this area.
Your Doctor would have second opinion if needed.
I hope this answers your query, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
