Brief Answer:
It is a possibility

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic. The first breath of the child corresponds to the first cry of the baby. So, it is not possible for the baby to not cry at all in first 4 days. It is however definitely possible that the child was not actively crying thereafter. It is possible for children to develop autism based on the damage to brain that could occur due to lack of oxygen if the child does not cry in the first few minutes of life. Asperger's syndrome is a form of high functioning autism and so that is also a possibility. But let me assure you that not all babies with delayed cry develop autism or Asperger's.

At the age of 1.5 years onwards, if the child is not socially active, you can go through the autism checklist available on the internet and also discuss with his pediatrician to know if the possibility is higher in the case of your child.
