Brief Answer:
No need to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The body weight of a child increases at a greater pace during the first year and after that the weight gain gradually decreases. Since the body weight now is more than thrice the birth weight there is no need to worry. If the child is eating properly and ;s active - not lethargy then there ;s no need to worry. You can get him evaluated for proper milestones by a pediatrician.

Brief Answer:
Can be normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Even if the birth weight was 3.9 kg there is no need to worry if the baby is active. Regarding the speech abilities it is normal for some children to speak late or not to join the words. You can consult a speech therapist if this persists beyond 4 years of age.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Brief Answer:
Depends on physical activity also.

Detailed Answer:
Even if you change the diet the gain in weight depends on the physical activity of the baby the hormonal balance and genetic factors. It is best increase the protein intake and help him to become strong. Increasing the calories for only weight gain is not recommended. Still you will be able to see a change in 8-10 weeks.
