Brief Answer:
Limb elevation, Rest and Cap Tramadol for now.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX I have understood you had DVT and PE and they put you on blood thinners and IVC filter. Can you please answer some queries.
1. When did you have DVT? First episode.
2. Which limb was affected?
3. Do you know which veins were affected or you can send the Doppler report.
4. When was the filter put?
5. What blood thinners are you on and since when with dose.
Answers to these questions can guide me to help you better. The symptoms you are mentioning are largely of DVT but it could also be cellulitis. I would advice you to keep your limb elevated the entire day above the level of your heart, wear a compression stocking and take Cap Tramadol for your pain as well as Tab Daflon. Also, avoid your blood thinner dose today if there is bleeding from the ulcers or anywhere else. You should be fine and then can go ahead with your appointment tomorrow. I will wait for answers to the above queries and feel free to ask anymore clarifications that you might need. Take care.

First DVT in 2000 resulted in PEs. Right calf result of long period of travel. Released from hospital and DVTs returned as well as PEs 3 weeks later. Greenfield filter then installed and 6 months of Coumadin. Switched to Plavix and 3 months later developed severe Bleeding stomach ulcer which opened caused throwing up of blood and required scope and cauterization. Been on 81mg aspirin daily since.

Brief Answer:
Continue Aspirin and treatment I advised

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX Thanks for the details. I would then feel that you could have had a recurrence of the DVT in the Rt leg and you should get a repeat Color Doppler done for it tomorrow when you see your Doctor. Continue the Ecosprin tablet that you are having and you can add on the medicines that I had advised safely. I hope I have answered your query completely. If not please ask for any clarifications. If not you can go ahead and rate the answer. Thank you and take care.
