Question : I have been on omeprazole 40mg. For so many years I can't remember. Why isn't my doctor changing me to another reflux drug? I also have microscopic?colitis.

Brief Answer:
No need to change if it is controlling symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
If Omeprazole is controlling your symptoms of GERD and if there are no side effects, there is no need to change it.
A time tested medicine is probably better studied than the new comers.
