Is Medical Abortion Possible During 4 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Question: Hi recently we found that my wife was pregnant by 4-5 weeks, it was an unplanned pregnancy.
I work in a different city and my wife stay with parents, hence she cant go to a doctor to get the medical abortion done, out of embarrassment.
Would it be ok to take just Misoprostol (as I read) to cause a miscarriage at home, and that would look like a normal miscarriage to our parents.

I have gone through the history given in your query.
Since there is a high risk of severe vaginal bleeding, cramps, infection or INCOMPLETE abortion hence it is NOT SAFE to 'just' use Misoprostol without consulting a gynecologist. An initial ultrasound scan is to be done to find out the exact duration of pregnancy (it should be less than 7 weeks) and it should not be an 'ectopic' or tubal pregnancy. Then based on the ultrasound report, the gynecologist will prescribe her the medications to terminate the pregnancy under her/his supervision.

The last we saw we observed just a yolk sac, and Doctor mentioned that every thing is normal.Based on her last menstruation date, its within 4-5 weeks of pregnancy.
