Question : My husband has a bad back. The doctors here in XXXXXXX said it is arthritis and they cannot help him. One of our friends went to Dr. XXXXXXX Hostin and he thinks he can help him. Do you think we need to come to see Dr. Hostin and see if he might be able to help my husband. Ronny was told nothing could help him and he is about to have surgery. XXXXXXX is 78 years old and has had double bypass heart surgery and also his artic valve (sp.) replaced with a cow valve.
Brief Answer:
Medical Therapy is worth trying.
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I agree with the second opinion . Something in the form of medicines ,support , physiotherapy , can be of help. Surgery is the last resort in back. Also with his medical condition , I will be more inclined for trial of medical therapy.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
