Brief Answer:
You don't need medication.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

The normal range for total cholesterol level is under 200 mg/dl ( 5.1 mmol/l) so your cholesterol level of 5.1 mmol/l is borderline level .It is not high so you don't need medication for this.
You should do some lifestyle modifications to try to lower it including:
-Eat healthy foods (mostly green vegetables)
-Drink plenty of water
-Exercise regularly at least 40 min every day.
You should test again your cholesterol level after 3 months.

Hope it was of help.
Let me know if you have additional questions or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.

Regards!
