Question : Hi I have an appointment to have my ears microsuctioned to clear wax. I have one perforated and one with gromit. I am booked to have this done on Thursday and i am due to fly on Saturday to go skiing where i will be at altitude. Do you think i am ok to have fobe before i go or should i postpone until i return?

You can get your ears suctioned anytime, there are no contraindications.

Suctioning of the ears to clear wax will not cause any problem whatsoever.

Only, you have to inform the doctor about the perforation and the grommet before suctioning is done.
