Question : is this mucus in stool is it abnormal
Brief Answer:
No!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There is nothing wrong with this stool.
However, I will like you to monitor and see whether this happens all the time. Also, how many times do you defecate in a day? Have you experienced this before? Are there any abdominal cramps?
As long as all these are negative, there is just no reason to get worried. Monitor only and report to me if this persists or any new symptoms set in.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

2 or 3 time since I was young, previously it was visible sometimes, but it is not visible on directly viewing it, it is visible when I rub it, not all time, do I have to check mucus only by viewing stool, no other symptoms, I have read on internet , mucus in stool is symptom of colon cancer
Brief Answer:
Mucus alone is no symptom of colon cancer.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Mucus in stool is not suggestive of colon cancer. At your age and in the absence of any other symptoms, cancer is simply not a possibility at this time. Refrain from intoxicating unpersonalized online information that might cause more harm than help. There is no need combing through stool to establish that there is a case of mucus.
