Question : I thought my period was going to start because I had the brown discharge like a girl has right before their period and I haven’t really bled most of what is coming out is like clear discharge with specks of blood in it and some regular blood I’m not sure if I have an infection or something

Hi,

Brown discharge is usually altered blood from the uterus. This happens in many due to hormonal imbalance. If this has occurred in past, then need not worry, it is nothing serious and it could be a consequence of hormonal imbalance.

If there is an infection in the vagina or uterus there will be white discharge with greenish or frothy appearance. This will almost always be associated with itching or pain. Brown discharge is seldom seen due to infection. Need not worry.
