Is Negative Rapid HIV Test At 18 Days Conclusive?

Pls give reply sir am waiting for u r reply
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Tests like ELISA are antibody based and extremely accurate.
97% of people develop sufficient antibodies after 3 months and hence ELISA done after 3 months is almost accurate but 3% cases may take upto 6 months to develop sufficient antibodies and hence if an antibody test like ELISA or western blot test is found to be negative at the end of 6 months then you can simply relax and forget the matter closed.
So my advise is to get an ELISA and a western blot test both done, to be doubly sure, at the end of 6 months after exposure.
Since unprotected sex was done on 17th may you can get the above mentioned tests after 17 th November 2015,however I am quite sure that they are going to come negative only.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

I totally agree what you say but the question is how to satisfy you.
The one I advised is the ultimate. There is nothing to think beyond that.
After all there has to be some way for you to come out of your predicament.
If I were you I would simply forget it and move ahead.
Thanks

no need to worry.
You don't have any HIV.
Thanks
