Is Non Stress Test Sufficient To Provide Information About Brain Damage?
Question: if a NST comes back great in the doctors opinion can I be assured there is not brain damage from previous huffing incidences?

NST (Non stress test ) alone is not sufficient to provide information about brain damage , as it emphasis mainly on brain stem (pons,mid brain , medulla),and it won't cover complete brain picture.
In order to find the fetal well being and normal brain function more specific Biophysical profile (BPP) and Doppler cerebro umbilical ratio are recommended.
Try to have one and follow up with the results.

okay. I will ask about those tests. do toy think it's likely my fetus does have brain damage? I have huffed air dust 6-7 times each in the second and third trimesters.
