Question : I have my 2 year old a dose of Tylenol then he threw up second later. I went up to get him me pjs and my husband said not to worry about giving him Tylenol because he gave him a dose of motrin. I'm scared to fall asleep. Thinking he had to much medication in him. I called his doctor on call no response yet. He is sleeping sound but wicked and makes noise when I rub his tummy. Should I take him to er? I feel like a bad parent and I'm very freaked out about the mixing of these medications.
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
If you had given one dose of Tylenol along with one dose of motrin no need to worry.
Both are different medicines and can be given together.
No harm will be done.
Try giving only Tylenol and use motrin only for very high grade fever like more than 102 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ensure you give him warm liquids to drink.
If he is very dull and lethargic you need to take him to ER.
Wishing your child good health.
