Question : Hi Doctor,

My wife is having pain in stomach since 5 days.

We have done whole abdomen ultrasound. Please see the ttached reports and scans.

Can you please suggest the treatment.

Hi,

Your wife's scan report says she is having polycystic ovaries.

I would like to have some more information before I can give my opinion.

1. Where does she feel the pain - upper or lower abdomen?
2. Is the pain continuous or intermittent?
3. Any other symptoms like nausea vomiting, fever, loose stools, painful urination?

Hello Doctor,

Pain is in lower abdomen slight on the left side
The pain is intermedent
She does not have nausea, fever, loose stools, urinal irritation.

Please let me know if you would like to understand more.

Hi,

Some of the common causes of lower abdominal pain in a female are urinary tract infection, pelvic inflammatory disease and dysmenorrhea.

Though she does not have painful urination, an urine culture test may be done.
Gynecological examination to be done to rule out the other two causes.

Till then she can take the already prescribed medications.
