Question: Dr Grief, My name is Fred Hueting, I am 83 years old and I am diagnosed with Gait, I sincerely believe that both my legs are affected, I am also having been diagnosed with Parkinson's, do you have any idea if I have to live with this the rest of my life? I am taking carbidopa/levodopa 25 mg-250mg tablets I am talking suggestions from Dr Grand a neurologist and dr XXXXXXX Silva my regular dr

For your info. my wife ( married for almost 60 years (81 years old) has been diagnosed with Alzheimer , she is in a stage that she forgets everything.
is their a possibility that the medication I am taking effect the brains? I feel that it must be because I told her and remind her of everything

Yes, for the disappointment both Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's do not have cure. The medications can only slow the process of disease. Well, in early stages better medication and right timing of medication can slow down the disease so much that one can live with almost without symptoms.

Yes, the medication you are taking do effect the brain but in a good way. They do supplement the deficiency in the brain which is created by the disease.
