Is Persistent Diarrhea A Cause For Concern?

Question: I've had diarrhea for 5 days. No other symptoms. No fever, no pain, no nausea or vomiting. Nshould Insee my doctor?

I am so sorry to hear about this diarrhea that you have reported. Diarrhea doesn’t kill but dehydration does. As long as you drink enough water, all is fin. I will like to know how often you visit the toilet. Also, is there any mucus/slimy substance in your stool? Is it very watery and in much quantities? I

Called my doctor. He suggested Kaopectate, bland diet, and fluids. Am feeling better. Thank you.
