Brief Answer:
The production of platelets seems depressed

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Platelets are cell fragments that are responsible for clotting of blood when required. They are produced from within the bone marrow from precursor cells called megakaryocytes. So, a low platelet count at this age is likely to mean that the functioning of the megakaryocytes has been depressed to some extent. Since there are no symptoms, you need not worry. But look out for petechial bleeding spots on your skin, or other hemorrhagic manifestations. If it occurs, you need to get in touch with your doctor without delay and platelet transfusion might be required.
The episodes of pancreatitis are probably unrelated.
