Is Platelet Count Of 609 A Cause For Concern?

Question: Hello- My platelet results were 609. They said the normal for this range in 150-379 X10E 3/UL. What could cause that number to be so high? I do have a hemoglobin which is at 7.4---My MCV is low at 70 and my RDW is high at 17.4. My glucose is higher at 128. I understand it all pretty well except the platelet count.
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. You will require follow up.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So we take a normal platelet counts as upto 5 lac of upper limit and a single borderline elevated value should not be of much concern except in the case where it is more than 8 lac. The reason is that mild elevation can be seen in acute stressful. Conditions as platelet act as acute phase reactant.
Follow up with a repeat count after. 1 week. And revert back.
Thanks and regards

Hello again,
What is "lac"? Could you give examples of what an "acute stressful condition" could be? Are you saying I should follow up with you after a repeat count?
