                                            Question : Hi Doctor,
I have taken a term policy for which i went through medical tests and the report is shared with me on 6th July, 2017. I took online consulation and shared reports to one doctor. The written analysis by him is "There are changes in ECG report like poor progression of R Wave and long QT interval and mild left axis deviation
Report shown borderline abnormal ECG to be reviewed by Cardiologist with ECHO and KFT reports". Can you help me understand this analysis better. What is the stage currently i am now. Is it a panic situation?. Please share your analysis. Thank you

Ecg is fine
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Gone through your reports.
Your ecg is having some changes which doesn't appear worrisome now. There are certain changes like left axis deviation, which can occur especially in individuals who work hard or are athletic, hypertensive and even otherwise. QTc is fine on manual calculation. So basically there are minor changes and to me doesn't appear worrisome at this stage.
You may undergo echo for policy purpose, but not absolutely necessary.
Also, machine generated reports are frequently inaccurate.
Other blood reports are also fine.

Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.

Healthy lifestyle
Detailed Answer:
You should have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Have low salt diet. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity atleast 30 min a day and 5 days a week. Lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, fish once or twice a week, avoid meat. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. There shouldn't abdominal fat deposition or obesity. All the best.
