Question : Hi,

I had my periods on Dec 2nd till Dec 6th. I had unprotected Dec on Dec 9th and had taken an i pill within an hour. Again I had sec on Dec 16th and the condom did not work properly. So I had taken an ipill within 2 hours. I usually have a 25/26 day cycle. What are my chances of being pregnant?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I pill taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse prevents pregnancy in 95-98% cases.
Since you have taken I pill within this duration, the chances of pregnancy are almost nil in your case.
However, your next expected periods might be delayed as I pill has the side effect of delaying the next periods by 2-3 weeks.

I am concerned because I thought the second time is more during the time of ovulation. I hope the iPill works fine during this phase of the cycle. Also, how is there any term impact on my future pregnancies? If I want to conceive in next 6 months, will it be fine?

I pill do not have any impact on the chances of future pregnancy.
However, regular contraception is recommended.
