Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking I-pill?

Question : Hi ,
My wife took ipill after having unprotected sex. After 4 days she is having severe abdominal pain.
Is this normal?
Could you suggest some good pain killers?

hello and welcome to HCM Forum. thanks for writing in to us. yes the abd pain is due to the Ipill . it's a known side effect. she can take anti spasmodic medicine. like flavospas or meftal spas upto 4 times per day. regards Dr Manisha Jain.

Hi,
One thing that I missed to mention is She took ipill twice in her single menstrual cycle. There were at least 14 days between these two intakes.
I hope its still safe.
Sometimes she has mild headache.
Could you please recommend safe painkillers for headache?

Urine pregnancy test advised

Detailed Answer:
If in case she has had this pill before also and then having pain now then ask her to do a urine pregnancy test and see the result.
If pregnancy test is negative nothing to worry.
For headache she can have paracetamol tablet as and when required.
