Brief Answer:
Emergency contraceptive pill prevents pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Postpone 72 or emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse prevents pregnancy in 98% cases.
The spotting is likely due to the hormonal effect of the pill and indicates that it is effective in its action.
There is no other way to prevent pregnancy beyond 72 hours.
I will suggest you to wait for the next periods, if delayed, then get a urine pregnancy test to confirm the diagnosis.
Further management should be done accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
