Question : Hello sir, i am XXXXXXX (f, 24)- i had unprotected sex on 4th, took unwanted 72 after 28/30 hours. Now i am having withdrawal bleeding on 12th . sir , for how many days will this withdrawal bleeding continue. My usual periods starts around 28th, and when can i expect my next periods. Thanking you

will this new cycle be permanent now , or else after how long will i return to my previous cycle.....post script : my mother knows my original cycle , what reason can i state to her for this change in cycle (my relationship is a secret ).

Hello,
The new cycle will be permanent unless you intend to take another ecp in future. Because emergency contraceptive pill causes a withdrawal and leads to complete shedding of endometrium as with normal menses, so fresh endometrialisation shall hence take place as in fresh cycle. So your fresh LMP becomes 12th september and next menses should be expected only after a month.
You may tell your mother that you have got this bleeding early this time which is quite possible due to stress at work or college and a single episode doesn't need any treatment but just observation for next 3 cycles.
