Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Unwanted-72?

Question: Hi
My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex on Nov 29.., she took unwanted 72 within 4 hours after act...her period date is on 10th of every month but until today there is no sign of her periods.. she have been vomiting since 2 days...is this some thing to worry about pregnancy ?? Please suggest

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern. As you did intercourse on 19th day of her menses, there is almost no chance of pregnancy. Even she has taken unwanted. Still we cannot be sure if she has missed period for 4 days. Better to ask her to go for urine pregnancy test. If comes negative wait for more 2 days for menses and if needed repeat test after 2 days. Preferably use morning first urine sample. If by chance comes, positive consult gynecologist for medical termination of pregnancy.

Her Vomiting can be due to other reasons also as it does not occur so early in pregnancy.
