Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking An I-pill?

Question: i am 37 years old female. i have two kids. I am hypothyroid and take 100 mg of thyroid daily. while having sex today me and my husband found the condom torn. this has never happened before so I am a little concerned. I had my periods on 28th july. should I take a pill for the same?
