Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Contraceptive Pills?

Question: Im on the pill, but im not always the best at taking it exactly on time. The most i missed it at was 2 hours. So when my husband and i had unprotected sex i made sure to take plan be within 24 hours. Its been about a week and my period is due but instead im having brown discharge, not even enough to fill a small tampon. Im starting to panic a little. Is this normal or am i pregnant?
