Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Oral Contraceptive?
Question: Sir..15 days back I had a unprotected sex with my girlfriend.then she had taken I-pill after 8 hrs.after 15 days she had her period for just 2 days.whereas she usually have 5 days of long period.i am worried.what might be the reason??

I pill is an emergency contraceptive pill which should be taken within 72 hrs of unprotected sex so as to be effective.
As you mentioned she took within 8 hrs so it was effective.
I pill contains hormones which cause imbalance in natural body hormones to avoid pregnancy.
In that usually delay in periods by 1 week or even early periods can be seen.
Periods can be short duration or get prolonged.
The effect of i pill is unpredictable on the periods but pregnancy is avoided for sure.
Periods have come that means there is no question of pregnancy. Do not worry about it. From next cycle on wards her usual periods will resume.
But one precaution note here is do not use i pill on regular basis. Its an emergency contraceptive method not regular one. It can have permanent deleterious effects on her system if used regularly.
