Question : what is the chance of a lactating
mother getting pregnant, the child is only 18 days old

hello and welcome to HCM Forum. There are no chances of pregnancy so early on as theree is no ovulation upto 6 weels after delievery of the baby. Regards Dr Manisha Jain.

Since there is unprotected sex just after 16 days of child birth so just want to be sure that will there be any slight chances of pregnancy

Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
No dear, there is nothing to worry.
Firstly there cannot be ovulation till 6 weeks post delivery and secondly the lining of uterus cannot support pregnancy at all.
So just relax but in general avoid sexual activity wirhout protection for 2-3 weeks as there are high chances of pelvic infection.
