Question : Hi, I am a 33 year old relatively healthy female. My last period started April 24th and my cycles are normally 30 days. However, over the past year they have been a little whacky coming every two weeks a couple of times. I had unprotected sex on May 6th and I am so worried about the possibility of pregnancy. I've been feeling like PMS is starting. What do you think my chances are to have conceived on that date from one time? I am very worried. Thanks.

                                    Brief Answer:
Hormonal disturbances or local pathology in uterus
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Pregnancy can occur from a single episode of unprotected intercourse.
Moreover, irregular periods and frequent menstrual bleeding is suggestive of hormonal disturbances or any local pathology in the uterus like fibroid uterus.
I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including ultrasound and hormonal disturbances, and get appropriate treatment timely.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Would you think that the timing of the unprotected sex would put me in high risk of pregnancy if my period is on a regular 30 day cycle. I feel like I am about to start soon. My breasts are sore and I have had some pink spotting on the toilet paper.

Yes, I know there is a chance, but I am hoping it is only a slight chance. I took 7 OPK's starting two days after we had intercourse. I never had a positive result. Should I take this as any assurance?
