Question : My daughter in law wants to have a baby but her periods are irregular. Sometimes she has a gap of 30 days other times up to 45 days. When I queried my doctor about this she said that she is not ovulating. Is this possible?

Anovulatory cycles are possible. This can only be confirmed by serial ultrasound scan examinations.

I suggest let her undergo follicular growth scan to assess ovulation.

The fact that m y daughter-in-Law has anovulatory cycles.Is it making her infertile? If this is the case could she get help from a fertility doctor?
