Is Pregnancy Possible Without Intercourse After 7 Weeks Of Abortion?
Question: Hi ...... I undergone with the surgical abortion last month on 7 th of XXXXXXX 2016 when I was 3 weeks pregnant because the date of my previous period was 6 th may and it was expected on 4th XXXXXXX but in the mean time I had sex on 15 th of may....
. I did home pregnancy test on 2nd XXXXXXX 2016 which was positive showing a very faint line . The doctor also confirmed it and after that I opted for surgical procedures. After undergoing the surgical abortion there was a bleeding for six days after that I was normal. But there was a swelling in my stomach which i thought will get normal in few days. I haven't had sex since 15th of may 2016. I did a home pregnancy test today in the morning at 4 o'clock but still my pregnancy test is showing two lines..... How can I get pregnant again when I haven't had sex for the last seven weeks???

It has been a month since you had an abortion. After an abortion, usually the hormone levels do take almost 3-4 weeks to come back to normal levels. If the test line in the urine test is a very faint one then you need not worry. It will gradually fade away in next few days. In case the test line is a dark one then it is best to get an ultrasound scan done to find out the cause.
