Is Premature Ejaculation Related To One's Age And Can It Be Cured?

default
Posted on Mon, 12 Jun 2023
Question: For past few years specially after I turned 30, I have been facing some drastic changes in my sexual capacity. I have been noticing that during any sexual session, within few mins ( about 5 mins or so ) of foreplay I feel highly aroused and I tend to ejaculated very quickly. In order words, I ejaculate within 5 mins of foreplay even my sensitive parts are not touched at all. This used to be not the case earlier. This has turn out to be very embarrassing for me. I discussed this with my friends of similar age and they find it weird as they do not find similar changes in their sexual capabilities. I want to know the following:
1) Is this some condition related to my age( currently 32.5 yrs )?
2) Can this be cured? If yes, please suggest a treatment.
3) Can some ointment or some similar thing be used to control the same?

Brief Answer:
It is secondary premature ejaculation

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

First of all, I would like to inform you that the condition is called premature ejaculation and it has no relationship with your age. In fact, the reverse is true, as many young people get premature ejaculation and over time, they are able to control this.

Since it was not present from the beginning, it is termed as secondary premature ejaculation which means it developed because of some other condition.

The causes for secondary premature ejaculation include hypertension, diabetes, renal factors, liver ailments, hypercholesterolemia, thyroid disorders, abuse of substances such as nicotine and alcohol among others.

Since there are multiple causes every cause need to be investigated to rule out. As suggested above there is need to check for every system to say that this contributed to the problem. The treatment depends on the cause itself. I mean to say that causative factor is targeted during treatment.

Although some spray such as climax spray can help you in this problem but it is not the final solution. It may help you for sometime but do not eliminate the problem from the roots.

I hope this helps you. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

I would like to add here that, I do not have hypertension, diabetes, thyriod disorder and I do not do substances abuse at all. This is based on some of my recent blood investigations. However, I am hepatitis B positive which was recently discovered when I donated blood. I got all the tests done of my lever and other related areas and there is no damage to anything. Can this be related to this? Also, I am not sure about hypercholesterolemia. Please suggest me appropriate next steps and I really want to cure this asap. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Please post following details

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Since hepatitis-B affects the liver, there is a possibility of some correlation between hepatitis-B and premature ejaculation.

Regarding hypercholestrolemia, you need to undergo lipid profile.

I request you to attach the details which you have so I can advice you the next course of action in addition to lipid profile.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks again.
