Question : I think I broke my baby toe, but now the side of my foot near the toe is turning purple. I broke it working in my yard a month ago and sometimes it feels like it's not attached. I can send pics. I dont want to have to spend all day at doctors and labs if all their going to do is tape it.

The purplish discoloration is suggestive of decreased blood supply to the toe and is likely because of tight taping or wearing tight shoes. If you are not experiencing pain, then you can discontinue taping your toe. If you still feel pain, you can continue taping, however make sure that it is not too tight.
