Is Radiation From Scans And X-rays Cumulative Or Does Its Effect Go Away With Time Or Become Diluted?

Question: Hi. I am 67 year old male in good general health. From the age of 30 to today, I had substantial dental work along with x rays etc. At the age of 43, I had neuro surgery with multiple cat scans. At the age of 54, I had complete longevity physical with whole body scanning, calcium score cat scan etc. I had 5 more cat scans in the last 13 years. My questions are:
1) Is this lot of radiation I have gotten?
2) Is radiation cumulative or does its effect go away with time or become diluted?
3) I had a cardiac calcium score cat scan done 7 years back. I want to do another one but it will give me 1 m Sv radiation. Too much for my situation?
4) I do cardio exercise 4 times a week plus weights etc. Does it help me get rid of the radiation?
5)Are there any ways of cleaning my body of past radiaton that I got. I am concerned that this radiation may give m cancer.
Please reply point wise in detail. Thanks alot.

Brief Answer:
Eat plenty of XXXXXXX cabbage, broccoli and brussels sprout

Detailed Answer:
Hi

After hearing your history i think you has received lot of radiation till date

Exposure to 10 mSv of radiation increases the risk of death from cancer by about 1 chance in 2000.

Radiation is cumulative and can accumulate over time to substantial cancer causing doses.

You can go for another cardiac calcium score cat scan but this should be the last one if not absolutely needed.

Cardio exercise and weight training is good for health but it does not get rid of radiation from your body

I would advise you to eat plenty of vegetables such as XXXXXXX cabbage, broccoli and brussels sprouts as it contain a powerful detoxing agent called sulfur.

This substance has long been known to protect the body from radiation and remove the elements if one is exposed to repeated radiation.

Further radiation can increase your chance of cancer.

Thank you Dr De for your comprehensive reply.

1) For 100 m Sv, chances of death are about 1 in 100. Is that correct?

2)If a person lives to the age of say 100, does that clean out some of the radiation received before?

3) Are there any detox supplements for radiation?

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Calcium D glucorate supplements

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Exposure to 100 mSv a year is the lowest level at which any increase in cancer risk is clearly evident.

A cumulative 1,000 mSv (1 sievert) would probably cause a fatal cancer many years later in five out of every 100 persons exposed to it.

Yes as you grow old and if you are not exposed to more radiation then some radiation is cleaned out.

Detox supplements for radiation are Calcium D glucorate supplements

Natural remedy is to take plenty of green and leafy vegetables, berries, leeks, turmeric, onions, garlic, artichokes, milk thistle and green tea.
