Is Recurrent Fever In A Child Despite Giving Ibugesic Plus A Concern?

Brief Answer:
It may continue for a few more days. You need to be patient.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Most often such symptoms are due to viral infections. If your child has fever with temperature more than 100°F, you need to give paracetamol (P-250, Crocin or Calpol) to it bring down. Also use tepid sponging. If paracetamol alone is not effective in bringing down the temperature, you need to use Ibugesic Plus (already contains paracetamol) which is more effective.
Please be patient. It may take a few days for the recovery to occur. It should spontaneously resolve in 5-7 days.
Hopefully that would help. Feel free to write back in case of further queries.

Do I need to give some antibiotics also?
Brief Answer:
Not needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
No, you do not, at least not prior to getting the blood counts and/or CRP levels checked. Most often such fevers are due to viral cause where antibiotics are ineffective.
Hope I have answered your query.
