Turbulent blood flow into the arteries of the middle ear due to stress
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
The pulsatile tinnitus in the ear is usually due to the turbulent blood flow in the major and small sized arteries in the body. The turbulent flow happens secondary to the increased blood pressure and stress.
The pulsatile tinnitus may be unilateral or bilateral. Presence of fluid inside the middle ear or the block in the Eustachian tube (the tube connecting the nose and the ear) can worsen the tinnitus.
Do not worry! This is not a major issue with appropriate medications and interventions, the tinnitus can be alleviated.
1. You would require anxiolytic medications, to reduce the stress.
2. You need to do de-stressing exercises, such as, meditation, exercises, etc.
3. Avoid stress and anxiety.
4. A thorough ear examination and an audiometry would be required, if the symptoms do not get better.
Hope this answers your query. Revert back to me if you have any follow-up queries.
