Is Severe Dizziness A Symptom Of Vertigo?

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Jun 2016
Question: I had a dark shadow over my left eye and spots on my right eye about 3 weeks ago, I'm still dizzy a lot, but I wonder if that could be leftover from the case of vertigo I had about two months ago..

Brief Answer:
Yes, it may be from the aftermath of Vertigo!!!

Detailed Answer:
Motion sickness, involuntary eye movements, balance disorders and dizziness are all associated with vertigo and the eye symptoms you stated (dark shadows, and spots in the visual eye field) may be the aftermath of this vertigo you had two months ago.

Other casuses your Primary care Physician can rule out are:
Hypertension (high blood pressure).
Hypotension (low blood pressure).
Diabetes mellitus causing the diabetic retinopathy due to excessive high glucose levels. This glucose precipitates in the eyes in the form of a compound Sorbitol.

I preferably suggest you to consult your Primary care Physician who will see if there is a need for an Ophthalmologist consultation mandatory right now, to see if there is any pathology of eye unrelated to vertigo.

Hope it helps. Please ask for more assistance if you need. I am here to help. For future reference simply click on: tinyurl.com/drhanifmd
