Thank you for responding Doctor.
The pain is there since Tuesday evening.
It pains while breathing heavy on front left lower chest as well as sometimes right at the back. It particularly pains while lying down on the left side, but while standing or walking nothing significant is felt. I feel it be more of muscle pain as if it's aching etc.
The pain has subsided over the past few days but on and off it there. Let us say when I get up suddenly from lying position on the bed.
I have taken Gelusil last night and there is some improvement but unsure if its due to that or its healing on its own.
Probably musculoskeletal.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There are two possibilities: Musculoskeletal and lung problem.
How does the pain feel like? Does it get worse by pressing? Where exactly is it located? Does it radiate to any other part?
Kindly send more details about pain so that I am better able to help.
A chest x-ray will help rule out lung tissue and ECG will help rule out a heart issue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vaishalee Punj, General & Family Physician

Brief Answer:
It's musculoskeletal
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
From your description, it's mostly musculoskeletal. It will subside by itself. Gelusil has no big role to play.
Hope I have answered your query.
