Question : Each morning (or at least most mornings) I wake up with severe pain in my right, lower back. It does not feel like muscle or sciatica (which I sometimes have). There is mild nausea with it. I can barely walk to the bathroom. But, once I have a bm the pain is gone, except for a little tenderness in the area. This has been happening, off and on, for a couple of months or so.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound scan of abdomen

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

How long do you have this issue?
Do you have constipation?

Impacted stool can cause such pain. Stone problems can cause such symptoms. Nausea should be evaluated with gut problems.
I suggest an abdominal ultrasound scan.
Last to evaluate is spinal issues with MRI of spine.
Please see a primary care doctor.

Thanks.
