1. A stent for kidney stone communicates between the collecting system of kidney and lumen of urinary bladder.

2. The stent maintains free flow of urine and avoids the occurrence of urinary obstruction. It is coiled at both ends and this is done so that it is in place.

3. The urinary stent has not got anything with the performance of sex. Having sex will not affect the placement of the stent and will not hurt you.
