Detailed Answer:
Hi,

occasional trouble sleeping or experiencing difficulty falling asleep on a few nights does not necessarily indicate a diagnosis of Fatal Familial Insomnia (FFI). Fatal Familial Insomnia is an extremely rare genetic disorder characterized by progressive insomnia leading to severe sleep deprivation and various neurological symptoms.

FFI typically begins to manifest between the ages of 30 and 60, and it is inherited in an autosomal dominant pattern, meaning that if a parent carries the mutated gene, there is a 50% chance of passing it on to their children. The disorder involves a specific genetic mutation affecting the prion protein gene (PRNP).

Keep in mind that occasional sleep disturbances can be caused by various factors such as stress, lifestyle changes, environmental factors, or other sleep disorders like insomnia or sleep apnea.

Hi. I don’t think any of my family members have any confirmed cases of FFI. All I know is some of my family members, like my oldest sister for example, has trouble sleeping sometimes. But is it possible that I may inherit FFI from her?

Hi,
No, I don't think so.
Because your parents do not have this disease.

Just take anxiolytica, you will be good
