Question : Just started horizant ex for restless legs. Wide awake all night. Is this a side effect? I already have problems sleeping.

No. It rather causes sleepiness!

Hi,

This might have just been a coincidence. Horizant EX (Gabapentin) is know to cause sleepiness and not insomnia. If you have difficulties sleeping, my advice is that you continue taking it as this is a side effect to improve sleeping. It is certainly not the cause of the sleeping difficulties you reported.
