Question : Hi. my baby is 4.5 months old. he is on fm and bm both. Can I start solid food after 5 months?
Brief Answer:
Can be done.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Breast milk is the best feed for a baby upto 6 months of age. However, although recommended to wean the baby to semisolids at 6 months, it would not harm if started at 5 months of age. Start with thick liquids, then semisolids, then move to solids.
