Question : Here's my question-- I have sore and pointy breasts, and am 26 days since lmp. I had intercourse 1 day after my period and was on birth control until 2 days after intercourse. I have taken several preg tests (including yesterday may 31st), all first response and they're all negative.

is this conclusive that I'm not pregnant or not? and if im not then why are my breasts sore?

Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Did you stop the birth control pack midway ?
A conclusively negative pregnancy test would be when you skip your period and then take HPT .
Other than that, your period would be proof that you are not pregnant.
Stopping birth control can also lead to breast soreness.
Other reasons could be - pre menstrual phase, stress, weight gain, irregular sleep or eating, an ill fitting bra, unaccustomed exercise, extreme handling during sex, inadvertent bruising or injury etc.
Any of these fit in ?

I stopped the birth control at the end of a placebo week

I am currenlty 26 days from my last period and its negative-- 25 days since intercourse. is that not conclusive?

I have been biking alot! but I'm confused by the pointiness of breasts-- that's a new and recent development. I've restarted orthotricyclen and am on day 6- could that cause a shape change? So in 2 days if I take a test it will be conclusive?

If you took the test 25 days since the intercourse, that is pretty much conclusive, if you did not have sex since that.
Biking could have made you fitter and leaner, maybe.
Nothing changes shape of the breasts except exercise that tones and re - contours your body.

I have been having morning sickness--

could this be from taking the bc pill late at night?

I was on it from feb to may and then i just restarted 6 days ago

So you bled after the 1st or 2nd placebo pill, am I right ?
Breast soreness is a known side effect of birth control, if you indeed feel a change in shape, please consult a doctor for a formal breast examination.

Yes exactly i bled after the second placebo pill and took it until there were 2-3 placebos left

Your BC is right on track as per dates and periods.
The pregnancy test is conclusive.
I see no discernible reason for the pointy breasts except your exercise.
If at all, hormones in birth control should marginally augment the breast size.

If you had conceived from that act of intercourse, the test would have been positive.
SO you do not need to worry on that score.
Breast tissue is made up of some cystic components and some solid ones.
All women differ in the ratio of the composition.
SOme have abnormally dense breasts, some have more cystic ones.
It is just a deviation, just like your cup and band size.
It is not at all a symptom of pregnancy.
How were the cystic breasts diagnosed ?
