Question: Hi I had protected sex 3 weeks back. I have sore throat today. Any possibility of hiv

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

The symptoms you are having are very non specific and can be many other things before being HIV symptoms.

HIV is an infection which is very hard to get with just one unprotected intercourse, but of course the chances are higher it it has been anal traumatic intercourse, and even higher is there was clearly open wounds while the contact.

The best way to rule out HIV infection is to do an HIV test 1 month after intercourse, and confirm with other in 3 and 6 months.

For now, I would not worry about those symptoms.
