Last option is splenectomy.

Hi
ITP will be initially treated with medicines like Corticosteroids, Immunosuppressive drugs etc.
If there is no response, then Splenectomy will be planned. But,splenectomy carries risk of bleeding.
Acute ITP will usually respond to medicines.
